Allergy and cough are two very co-related things because as like two small brothers they go along with hand in hand. I know both are very irritating but both many times come with each other only. It’s a very difficult time when your children have both because it is very difficult to tolerate the both by a small kid and seeing our kid in trouble where we can’t do anything other than waiting breaks my heart. It’s really difficult to hear him asking for help with a dull face.
You can do following things to help him ease the situation;
a) Spend a day with him when he needs to take bed rest in home. Kids always want their parents with them for an emotional stand and in any disease they need it most so be with them and show your love. It will help them to get out of the illness soon.
b) Give him some hot shake on his lungs to ease the cough. It will make the cough liquid and will ease his breathing easy.
c) Play with him some in door games or video games if possible to cheer his mood up.
d) Never call the kids friends in this situation to play with them because it increases the chances of infection to your child as well as other kids too. In both condition it should be avoided.
Kids are very sensitive so a step which cheers them will help them a lot in their ill situations. The love and care of parents for the kids is the key for their confidence and I have experienced it that the love you show to them will make the worse situations a helping one for them. A happy you will make your kid also happy so keep a good smile on face always.
